Santee® Centipede is now offered as a seeded variety. Its massive root system allows it to recover from damage quickly by rapidly covering the ground. The roots encourage better water and nutrient uptake from the soil making it an excellent grass selection for drought conditions. Santee Centipede Seed is a great way to fill in bare spots or to start a new centipede lawn. Santee Centipede seed grows in faster than Common Centipede and features a good fall color retention and spring green-up. Santee is an improved, more robust centipede. For new lawns use 0.5 lbs of seed per 1,000 sq. ft. For overseeding use 0.5 lbs of seed per 2,000 sq.
