Champion Radish are deep scarlet, super firm radishes with amazing spicy-sweet flavor. They snagged an AAS Winner title and a big thumbs-up from USU. And get this—it’s not just good-looking, it’s great in the kitchen, adding that pop of cherry red to salads, sandwiches, salsas, and soups. You can juice it, garnish with it, and more!!

Plus, it’s tough against frost, so you’re harvesting this beauty all summer and fall. It’s beginner-friendly, too—even kids can enjoy the fun. Keep an eye on the temps; it loves the sun but can be slightly touchy in extreme weather, so watch out for bolting and splitting.

When it comes to planting, count about 25 days ’til it’s ready for harvest and 4–7 days to germinate. Stick those seeds half to an inch deep, 1–2 inches apart in rows, and keep that soil nice and moist. You can grow it in almost any setup—pots, raised beds, and community gardens. But it likes a good 6–8 inches of soil depth and plenty of sun—6 hours at least. It grows in zones 2-11 and likes a bit acidic soil, around pH 5.5–7.0. It’s a fan of temps between 55-80 degrees for the air and 55–75 for the soil.
